About Me
Alongside classroom teaching I have tutored several students at GCSE, A Level and Further Maths. I have recently stepped out of the classroom to become a full-time tutor. I also work for a major exam board where I have held several roles including senior examiner and assessor.
I gain a great deal of satisfaction seeing students thrive and achieve. When a student first gets their head around fractions at GCSE level or using linear programming to optimise a system under constraints, I get a buzz when the concept clicks into place. I have a real enthusiasm for maths which I endeavour to pass onto my students. I am a positive person who has an enthusiastic outlook on life.
I love my job and I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. If I can have a positive impact on their future, I know I am doing my job well.

I attained an A grade in maths which has enabled me to pursue Medicine at the University of Liverpool. This achievement definitely wouldn’t have been possible without Helen’s help and support.

Our daughter found the sessions stress free and enjoyable, never finding them a chore.
Helen’s approach to teaching really worked for our daughter and we are confident this impacted on her GCSE grade.
I definitely would recommend Helen to others looking for a tutor.
